Team NIKE will have no problem putting up points with all the scorers on the roster but no team wins without a defensive stopper in the middle. Vern is an explosive shot blocker who’s shot swatting ability was handpicked to protect the hoop. Don’t think he’s only a defensive presence because he’s equally dangerous on offense. Vern is a veteran savvy player with the combo of athleticism, great hands, lots of power, and the signature street edge that New York City big men carry with them. Essentially, he’s a monster on defense and is a monster on offense, which makes him arguably Team NIKE’s scariest player.
